Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has given the green light for Benjamin Sesko to potentially make his Premier League debut in the team’s upcoming match against Arsenal. Sesko, the recent acquisition from Slovenia, joined the club as their fourth signing of the summer transfer window. Despite Sesko’s late start in training due to his transfer, Amorim expressed confidence in the striker’s physical readiness to step onto the pitch right away. Emphasizing Sesko’s long-term role at the club, Amorim noted, “I can see Ben being a striker at this club for many years. That is why we paid a lot of money. He didn’t have a lot of time [training], but physically, he is ready.” While Sesko trained with his new teammates this week, uncertainty looms over Rasmus Hojlund’s future at United. The Danish forward, who led the line during the pre-season tour, could see limited playing time as speculation surrounds his potential departure. Despite reported interest from AC Milan, Amorim is still counting on Hojlund as an option for the upcoming fixtures. Injury setbacks will sideline defenders Noussair Mazraoui and Lisandro Martinez for the clash against Arsenal, but the return of Andre Onana and Joshua Zirkzee provides Amorim with additional choices for the match. Amorim confirmed, “Nous and Licha are out. Josh recovered, Andre recovered, they are options for this game, we will see.” As United gear up to face Arsenal, the possibility of Sesko’s debut adds an element of anticipation to the season opener, with fans eager to witness the young striker in action.
