Putin’s Real Goal: Time, Not Peace

The first photos of Putin and Kabaeva’s alleged sons, who have changed their surname, have appeared

Two sons attributed to Russian President Vladimir Putin and former gymnast Alina Kabaeva appear in documents under the surnames Spiridonov – Ivan and Vladimir. This is stated in the book “The Tsar Himself,” published this fall by journalists Roman Badanin and Mikhail Rubin.

According to the publication Agency.Novosti, the cover name likely derives from the patronymic of Putin’s paternal grandfather, Vladimir Spiridonovich Putin.

The authors of the book note that Putin’s daughters from his first marriage, Ekaterina Tikhonova and Maria Vorontsova, also live under altered surnames. According to the investigation, the surname Tikhonova may have been borrowed from the patronymic of Ekaterina Shkrebneva, the mother of the president’s ex-wife.

Family Information

Journalists claim that Ivan and Vladimir Spiridonov occasionally appear in public, which allowed them to establish their appearance—photos were published in a book for the first time.

Earlier, on September 4, 2024, journalists discovered that Putin, in addition to his daughters with Lyudmila Putin—Maria Vorontsova and Ekaterina Tikhonova—and an illegitimate daughter with Svetlana Krivonogikh, has two sons with Alina Kabaeva.

This information is confirmed by a family tree posted on the MyHeritage website by Kabaeva’s cousin, Ekaterina Golovacheva.

Where the children live

According to the Swiss publication SonntagsZeitung, Putin and Kabaeva’s first son was born in the spring of 2015 at the Sant’Anna Clinic in Lugano, Switzerland. Their second child was born in 2019, in Moscow.

Journalists report that the children live in isolation—primarily in the Valdai residence, where they spend most of the year, and also in Sochi. They have little contact with their peers and are under heavy guard.
