Unknown Drones Spotted Over Denmark and Norway: Europe in Shock

Unknown drones spotted over Denmark and Norway.

Residents of Scandinavia are at the center of alarming news: unknown drones have been spotted over Copenhagen and Oslo. Investigations are currently underway in both countries.

On the evening of September 22, operations at Denmark’s largest airport, Copenhagen, were completely halted. According to police, between two and four large drones were detected in the skies near the airport around 8:26 PM local time. This forced the temporary suspension of flights, with at least 15 flights diverted to other cities. An airport spokesperson confirmed the suspension but declined to disclose details.

Around the same time, an alert was sounded in Oslo. Drones were spotted over the Akershus Fortress military zone. Defense systems detected them just after 9:00 PM. Shortly thereafter, police detained two Singaporean citizens, but it is not yet known whether they were involved in the drones’ launch.

Provocations Around Europe

These incidents occur against a backdrop of other violations in the region. On September 19, three Russian MiG-31s entered Estonian airspace without permission. The aircraft hovered over the Gulf of Finland for approximately 12 minutes. Tallinn called the incident “unprecedentedly brazen” and requested NATO consultations under Article 4 of the Alliance’s Charter.

Furthermore, the tail section of a drone was recently discovered on the western coast of Latvia. Bomb disposal experts were immediately dispatched to the scene for an inspection.

On September 10, the Polish military first reported a massive incursion of Russian drones. That night, approximately 20 aircraft were detected, some of which flew nearly 300 kilometers into the country.
